District Training Assembly 13^th to 15^th May 2022

The District Training Assembly (DTA) is one of the big three events in the Rotary calendar each year. This year’s event is being held at the Methavalai Hotel in Cha-Am so is very local for our club members.

The DTA offers club officers and members alike to get an insight into the various aspects of Rotary Club Management and helps to encourage more club participation and hopefully attract members for future club officers’ positions.

The main event is on Saturday 14^th May which is the DTA.

Registration for the event starts at 08:00 to 08:30hrs with the conference starting at 08:45.

There will be English translation during the morning sessions, after lunch there will be English sessions on various subjects in the break out rooms.

The day will finish at 16:40 which will be followed at 18:30 by the District Governor Installation Dinner which goes on until 22:30hrs.

All conference costs will be paid by our club.

If members wish to bring their partner for the evening dinner this will cost 1,000 Thai Baht.

Dress code is club jackets or smart

May Board Meeting

Assitant Governor, member and District Trainer Gianni Battistini will provide another useful Rotary training session for members.  As always this will no doubt be well received.

Our commitment to safety will be the wearing of face masks during the meeting which will be relaxed during lunch.  The Amari is a registered SHA Plus hotel and operates the ONYX clean policy for its public and meeting areas.

Dress smart casual and cost is THB 460 for lunch.

Members of RCRHH have been invited to attend the religeous ground breaking ceremony for good luck for the new school for children with severe learning difficulties to be built near black mountain.

Our club is proposing sponsorship for an audio sensory room to help in treatment of the children who will attend the school.

Registration for the event starts at 12:00 and will last aprroximately two and a half hours.

Suitable footwear should be worn as the ground could be  muddy in the current wet conditions.

The Fellowship evening for June will once again return to an old Italian favourite.

Lo Stivali the oldest Italian restaurant in Hua hin and our host Enrico  and his staff will serve a selection of Italian dishes and free flow beers and wines.

The cost of this evening will be 800 Thai Baht.

The fourth Club Assembly of 2021-22, giving an opportunity to update members on current projects, proposals and club events.

Dress is smart casual and cost is THB 550 for a buffet lunch.

June Board Meeting

Following the cancellation of the District Conference in 2021 this years event will once again be held at the Duangjitt Hotel in Patong Beach Phuket.

All members of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin are invited to attend.

The RCRHH will pay all the registration fees for the conference.

The District has released a pice list for hotels in Phuket.

As this is the last main event of Rotary Year 117 and will include the District awards ceremony the attendnce throughout Rotary District 3330 is expected to be high.

President Phil Lawrence will summarise the activities, projects and events undertaken by the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin during the last 12 months.  A chance to reflect on what has been achieved during difficult times and to perhaps look forward.

Rotary Club of Hua Hin is holding a thank you party and family night for the outgoing president Aree.

Aree has been a great supporter of our club in Rotary year 117, and I have had the pleasure to work with her this this year.

The Installation of RC Pranburi Presiden Noy Rodhnun will be held on Friday 8th July at the Sawang Phaison Foundation in Pranburi.

Early in 2020, as the pandemic encouraged people around the world to “stay home,” Josephmooon was created as a stage name and music project for the lyrics by Ronan Boren.  Ronan is autistic, and his imagination is vast, as revealed in the songs featured on his debut Josephmooon album, “So Far So Good,” released on October 1, 2021.  Bill Paige, well know local musician will talk about his collaboration with Ronan and working with people with autism and how hios understanding of it has increased.

This weeks meeting welcomes Jos Muijtjens from the Thai Ayuttaya Business Administration Technology College (TAB)

Thai Ayutthaya Business Administration Technological College is a vocational training college of the Thai-Tech group of colleges which has 10 affiliated colleges located in Bangkok. perimeter and provinces Open to teach from kindergarten, primary, secondary and vocational levels. Currently, the Thai Business Administration College of Technology has students. More than 3,000 students at both vocational and vocational level.

Earlier this year the RCRHH sponsored  two students Manita Jantee, 19 years old, nicknamed Pang Pond is on the left and Pukjira Saiyos on the right, is 19 years old, and nicknamed Pim to fly to Finland o a student exchange.
