After a long delay due to effects of Covid-19 on the education system here in Thailand the first National conference since August 2020 was held again at the Golden Beach resort in Cha-Am from the 22nd to the 25th March 2022. 17 of the 19-participating sent 156 delegates to the conference, two of the schools were unable to attend due to Covid restrictions in their area.
The National project is being driven by Phetchaburi Panyanukul School Ajarn Weera and the team from the same school, who have supported Dr Keith’s Humphreys project to develop how children with learning difficulties are taught here in Thailand.After Registration on the Tuesday Dr Keith spoke to the delegates with the theme “Love is not enough” in which he informed the delegates that the children needed and had the right to learning the Thai National curriculum at their level of learning.
Dr Keith went onto say that with the full support of the teachers of Phetchaburi Panyanukul School the assessments will have been written for all children of the Thai National curriculum. Caring for children is not enough and held back the potential development for intellectual development.
The teachers need to learn more about the children and learn to engage with each child at their level of ability.

egates talked about how to assess the children using the new Sumret or success scale accepted by the Ministry of Education. Discussions took place on the new approaches to teaching the National curriculum using technology enhanced learning.
