Dear Fellow Rotarians,
June is the Rotary Fellowships Month, in normal circumstances we would be celebrating our incoming presidential installations throughout the district, sadly the Covid 19 pandemic currently prevents us from doing this and many other things. It has taken a toll on many people around the world and everyone’s lifestyle will be changed to a ‘New Normal’ that we will need to adapt to.
This Rotary year has been a big challenge partly due to the pandemic of Coronavirus. However despite the difficulties our club has achieved several citations from Rotary International ie., Financial Requirements, Unite People, Take Action and President Distinction. Our Annual Golf Tournament also reached its highest income for the club in the last 10 years.
Although we cannot hold our regular weekly meetings at the moment as we must comply with the Thai government, who have imposed the Emergency Decree from March-June, our Board has not stopped working. Our ongoing projects are developing nicely, especially, the Technology Enhanced Learning for Knowledge (TELK) at our Rotary Education Center (REC) at Nongkhon School. This will be RCRHH signature project and we might be working with the other international club to acquire a global grant fund in the near future. It will be a very exciting year next year under the lead of three-time president, Brian Anderson.
As this Rotary year is approaching the end of its administrative year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank the board, all the committee members and all RCRHH members who have been supporting and making our club strong. It has been my privilege to take the role as the president.
