Members of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin supported their colleagues and friends from the Rotary Club of Bangkapi last Sunday with their 48th Childrens Day held at the Regent Beach Resort in Cha Am.  The event was held for children with physical disabilities from the Srisangwan Orphanage / School in Nonthaburi which was the first to be established in Thailand by the Mother of the late king Rama 9.

87 children attended the event with staff from the Srisangwan School, and it was interesting to see that one of the teachers has attended all 48 events.
Helping and supporting RC Bangkapi were members from RCRHH and Rotaractors from Webster University from both the Bangkok and Hua Hin campuses.
As usual a number of guests staying at the hotel supported the event, some of them having taken their holidays in previous years to coincide with the day. The hotel staff also helped support the children providing the food and facilities.
The children were given rubber rings, beach sets for swimming, shorts, t shirts and small gifts provided by RC Bangkapi.  Rotarians and hotel guests helped carry the children from the buses, and to the beach, swimming and playing in the sand with them.
Entertainment took the form of Karaoke which the children took part in and the guests of the hotel and Webster University Rotaractors also took part in song and dance acts.
Once again a fantastic day and very moving and one that the RCRHH are pleased to support annually.
