An Inter Club project was proposed in May 2020 between Rotary Club Bangkok South and the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin. The project involved a donation of hearing aids from a source in Denmark organised by the Rotary Club Bangkok South. The cost of 15,000 Thai Baht for checking the hearing aids and providing new batteries was split between the two clubs. The Rotary club of Royal Hua Hin took delivery of 60 hearing aids.
Discussions took place on the best way to distribute these hearing aids, and following research there was only one school in the province of Prachuap Khiri Khan the Sotsuksa Thepperat School for the deaf which is located in Bang Saphan. The School as a total of 115 Students, 30 of those students in addition to be deaf also suffer from mental illnesses. The School provides accommodation for 100 students from Chumphon, Phetchaburi, Ranong and Prachuap Khiri Khan provinces. A further 15 commute from the local communities. A significant number of these children are virtual orphans from poor and broken homes.A meeting was arranged with the School Director Waraporn Jungsawadee on the 31st August and was attended by CP Alan Coo

Hearing loss among most of the students ranges from moderate to severe in one or both ears. Some have profound loss that cannot be corrected with hearing aids. It was estimated that about 60 students can benefit from the donated hearing aids. Hearing tests and fitting are carried out in Prachuap Khiri Khan at the governments expense as there is no facility in Bang Saphan.
CP Alan noted, that ''Of the students we met, some were so excited about the donation they wanted to immediately try using a hearing aid”.
The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin also made a donation of 5000,00 Thai Baht to provide lunch for the children. The cheque was presented by CP Alan and his wife Wanna.
