The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin are pleased to announce the start of a new exciting joint project with the Rotary Club of Thavaravadi in Nakhon Pathom, ‘The Rotary Free English Online Program’.

This will be the 6th year the Rotary Club of Thavaravadi have run this successful program, which was originally run to teach students, however the program was changed to teach the teachers who would then use the program to teach the students.
The concept of this program started with the Rotary Club of Scarborough in Canada, who wanted to teach English to worthwhile causes around the world.

This program offers an excellent opportunity to use the state of the art multi media center at the Rotary Education Center at the Anubaan Hua Hin Nongkhon School.

32 teachers have signed up for the 1-year program, and on successfully completing the program they will receive a certificate.

The event was opened by President Punnama Kunattada Khun Benjawan from the Rotary Club of Thavaravadi which is a new and vibrant young club in Rotary District 3330.

Other guests included Past District Governor Juthatip Thamsiripong from the Rotary Club of Pra Pathom Chedi and Romgarn Snebsattha Deputy Director of the Education Center in Prachuab Khiri Khan.  Members of Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin and Rotaractors President Asia from Stamford International University were also in attendance.

Although this program is free, the support for the development of this program is through sponsors and donations, therefore the RCRHH approved a donation of 10,000 Thai Bhat to support this initiative.

One of the positive images of this new program was as the morning progressed the level of participation and enthusiasm by the teachers increased giving the whole concept of this learning a very positive feel.
Overall, this new initiative will not only benefit the teachers and students of the Anubaan Hua Hin Nongkhon school, but in the longer term the local community.

This only reinforces the image of Rotary as supporting and developing local communities through positive action and collaborative working.
