The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin were delighted to hold their first Installation Dinner for three years which was held at the Amari Resort and Spa for incoming President Phil Lawrence 118, and Presidents Nicha Pungpan (Asia) Rotaract Club of Stamford International University and President Sirima Thabsi Rotaract Club of Rajamangala University Wangklaikangwon Campus.
We also celebrated with the Presidents of Rotary year 115 PP Napa Keawtem, PP Brian Anderson and 117 IPP Phil Lawrence, as no installation dinner was held due to Covid-19.  A moment of reflection was held for Past President Dr. Rexid Birger who passed away in 2019.
The night was special as we attending welcomed Rotarian VIP’s District Governor La-Or Chinda and her husband Chulanan Rotary Club of Ploi Ratchaburi, Immediate Past District Governor Paikit Hoonpongsimanont Rotary Club of Tubtiang, District Governor Elect Chatchawal Telavanich and his wife Phanita Rotary Club of Samut Sakhon, and a very old friend of our club Past District Governor Kanit Jamjuntra and his wife Chadarat Jamjuntra Rotary Club of Ratchaburi.
In addition, we also welcomed the following VIP’s the mayor of Hua Hin Nopporn Wutthikul, Khun Wassana Srikanchana President of the Hua Hin/Cha -Am Tourist Association, Vice President Khun Putthiya Pansang of the Hua Hin/Cha -Am Tourist Association, Mr Cell Dilon Executive Director of Stamford International University Hua Hin Campus and his partner Ms. Raweewan and lastly Khun Pranon Chipoo President of Hua Hin Women’s club.
Over 150 Rotarians from 19 clubs and guests attended the event, including our Father Club Rotary Club Bangkok South, and our Mother Club Rotary Club of Hua Hin.
Entertainment was provided by Suree and P Auan, also the Rotaractors of Rajamangala University Wangklaikangwon Campus performed a traditional Thai dance of welcome, and the Rotaractors of Stamford International University performed a modern dance.
A buffet dinner was provided with free flow wine and beer, for those that wanted it, and non alcohol for those of us who are pure at heart.
