Dr Werner Wyss a Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin since 27th January 2020 has once again proven that our members have a big heart when it comes to supporting our local communities.

Dr Werner who is from Lugano in Switzerland near Zurich was a dermatologist at a clinic in Switzerland until his retirement, now they have been living in Hua Hin for 7 years.
Dr Werner is also a member of the Swiss Society in Bangkok.

Dr Werner has been married to Elsa for 35 years, however, the last 18 months have been difficult, Elsa first had a fall and broke her hip. After a slow recovery she then suffered a stroke and was unable to walk or speak.

Dr Werner who was an active member of our club has since dedicated his support to Elsa, she can now speak and is starting to walk again through Physiotherapy. The essential equipment Werner purchased to help his wife’s mobility and make her life more comfortable he made the offer to donate this to the special needs school at the Anuban Hua Hin Nongkhon school.

This is the same school that will move to the new school building E-Jan are building and the Rotary Club’s of Royal Hua Hin and Bangkok South are sponsoring an audio sensory room, and hope to raise the 1 million Thai Baht to support this.

The school presented E-Jan shirts designed by the children to both Werner and Elsa.
