Five members of the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin joined delegates from the 101 clubs in Rotary District 3330 In Thailand at the District Vibrant Club Assembly, held in the Hua Hin Grand Hotel and Plaza on Saturday 4th December 20231.

P Phil Lawrence headed the delegation of AG Gianni Battistini, IPP Brian Anderson, PP Napa Keawtem and Martin Harrison.
The conference is the first to have been held for many months due to the ongoing pandemic and was a great opportunity for people to renew old acquaintances and friendships with people they have not been able to see for so long.

It was also an opportunity to install the new District Governor Paikit Hoonpongsimanont, who although in post for five months, had to cancel the July ceremony because of the national lockdown.

Following the National Anthem, there followed the parade of flags with P Phil representing RCRHH.

Then began the business of the conference with the morning session being taken up with presentations on Membership, Public Image and Rotary Foundation, which although in Thai was accompanied by some slides in English to help understanding.

After a hot (spicy) lunch! Delegates chose to split into various breakout sessions, Phil and Martin choosing Public Image (PI), which proved to be very inclusive, interactive and indeed vibrant!  The PI team involved everyone and even had Phil and Martin clapping, shouting out their names and getting their jackets wet in the water feature outside, whilst reinforcing the message of appropriate branding for Rotary clubs in terms of use of Rotary logos and the support the public image team can give our Clubs.

A successful day and hopefully the first of many such events on the slow path to recovery for Thailand, but nevertheless proving Rotary has been as active as it ever was in every regard during the pandemic.
