Our club lunch meeting today was extra special with the induction of our newest member Rotarian Rainer who transferred in from our sister club, the Rotary Club of Patong Beach in Phuket. Rainer is also an advisor to the Scholars of Sustenance Foundation in Thailand and clearly the tallest member of our club by far. Welcome, Rainer!
Our guest presenter of the day was lifelong sailor Richard Vine who spoke candidly about his colorful life from chartered accountant to master racer and still competing in championships worldwide. Richard is the founder of the Hua Hin Sailing Club that teaches sailing to anyone from eight to 80 years of age. Our new member Rainer was the lucky winner of the bottle of Chilean wine for the day.
