In our first club lunch meeting of Rotary Year 122, President Napa presented an overview of our club’s management team and the community service projects that have been completed since 1 July, as well as those that are currently in process. She also emphasized Rotary International’s new slogan for the year, CREATE LASTING IMPACT.
In addition to our recent and ongoing service projects in Hua Hin and around Thailand, our primary focus is on the underprivileged and disadvantaged with an emphasis on improving the education standards and the personal development, health and well-being of children for sustainability.
Our member Rotarian Steve gave an interesting account of his life experiences and the reasons why he joined our club. We also welcomed visiting Rotarians Mary and Frank from the Rotary Club of San Francisco West who gave us an introduction of their club and activities, and Rotarian Mary won the bottle of wine for the day.
With the motto of Service Above Self, Rotarians regularly conduct high-impact service projects in multiple sectors of society; public, private, social, and environmental preservation for sustainable development.
