The annual RI District 3330 Conference was again well-attended on 29-30 March in Surat Thani province. The two-day event was efficiently organized as usual and District Governor Dr. Chatchawal opened the Awards Ceremony in the afternoon followed by dinner and the first evening meeting of the conference.
The next morning began with a full day of meetings ending with the Governor’s Gala Dinner under the theme of “City Pop”, with traditional Thai dance performances that attracted over 800 attendees in the ballroom. A very special guest in attendance was Past District Governor Dr. Jessie Harman from Australia, the regional representative of Rotary International President R. Gordon R. McInally.
Our club received three awards for this year’s community service projects, annual average donations of USD 100 per member to The Rotary Foundation, and over 10 percent increase in membership. We also received three certificates for our participation in Global Grant projects.
