We had another large group of attendees to welcome back the medical professionals of Bumrungrad International Hospital at our lunch meeting on 26 March. President Brian updated the group on our recent activities and upcoming events and presented club banners to three first-time visiting Rotarians, namely; Sheila the District 5110 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) chair from RC Ashland in Oregon, USA, Dan from RC Charlottenlund in Denmark and Erik from RC Ekero in Sweden.
Orthopedic surgeon Dr. Pritsanai gave an informative talk on “Aging Spine: What we should know” and many of our members’ questions were answered after his presentation. He also described ways to prevent spinal issues from occurring and exercises that we can do at home to help strengthen the spine. Florent from the hospital’s marketing team presented their membership program offering discounts on selected medical services and treatments for our club members and families. Bumrungrad International Hospital has been ranked the “Number 1 Hospital in Thailand” for the last four years by the World’s Best Hospital Awards.
Our frequent visitor Past President Dougie of RC Bangkok South won the bottle of wine for the day and Rotarian Bo had the winning ticket for the special gift from Vitalife. Special thanks were given to Ms. Porntip for organizing their visit to our club again.
