There will be no weekly meeting this week due to the Thai Holiday of Loi Krathong.

This week the Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin welcomes the District Governor La-Or Chinda who is from the Rotary Club of Ploi Ratchaburi

Every year the DG has to visit all 101 clubs in Rotary District 3330 and gives our members an opportunity to meet the DG and hear what is going on in our District.

The District Governor will also review our clubs goals for Rotary Year 118 and meet the Board of Directors.

This date was changed from Wednesday the 16th November due to other committmets from the DG to Sarturday the 19th November.

The Board of Rotary will meet the DG at 11:00hrs and the club meeting will take place 12:00 hrs to 14:00rs

The venue will be the Mosaic Restauarant.

Buffet lunch will be served at a cost of 550 Thai Baht.

Club jackets and ties to be worn or smart casual dress no shorts.

This weeks meeting welcomes David Frohlich who is a local expert on our local snakes found in Hua Hin.

In addition David organises walking trips around Hua Hin identifying the haunts of our snake population.

This should be an interesting talk on a subject which is a part of our every day life here in Thailand.

This years Christmas Dinner will be held at the Avani + Hotel Hua Hin.

Blue Biscuit.

The package costs 1,500 Thai Baht and includes:

2.5 hours of free flow wine and beer from 18:00hrs to 20:30hrs.

A soft drinks package is available for 1,000 Thai Baht.

The menu:

Cold Cuts and Cheese.

Mortadella, Salami, Smoked pork loin, Prosciutto de parma, Brie Emmental, Edam and blue cheese.

Home made bread, Fougasse bread, Focaccia, and Grissini.

Mulberry and black berries jams.

Salmon Tartare:

Raw salmon tartare with potato pancakes.

Seared Mackerel:

Seared Mackerel with cauliflower espuma with grilled corn salsa.

Butchers Choice:

Roasted lamb leg Roll pancetta served with rosemary gravy, grain mustard sauce, roasted sweet potato, grilled vegetables and butter rice.

Deserts:

Panettone, Pumpkin pie with five spice, Christmas log cake and Baked apple tart.

Music will be provided by the Tim Nikolai Trio Band.

A special price of a further 2 hours of wine free flow is available at 890 Thai Baht and 3 bottles of beer at 400 Thai Baht a bucket.

This weeks meeting is our club's annual general meeting.

Our President Elect Helmut Schepers will share his vision for our club in Rotary year 119 and identify our club members who would be elected as club executives for his Presidential year.

In addition we will be looking for the PE in Rotary Year 119.

This will also be an opportunity for our members to raise any points regarding the direction our club is going in.

Please be invited to the "New Years Day for Kids" gathering to bring cheer and goodwill to local underpriviaged children and their families.  The Sang foundation has organised the day with co-sponsorship from our club, supplying food and drink for 300 people. 

There will be toys and clothes given to the children as well as an art workshop and live music entertainment.  it will be helpful for us to assist with the distribution of the items on the day if you are available, please register!

Please accept my apologies for this tardy notification.  Our first fellowship event of 2023 will be held at the highly rated Daddy Deli on Hin Lek Fai, who were very generous with golf sponsorship, so please show your appreciation by attending this event.

The buffet menu will consist of:

Salad bar, Thai spicy salad, Penang Curry, slow cooked Pork loin, beef lasagna, chicken breast, home made bread.  For the drinkers there will be house wine and local beer.

The price will be 500THB without alcohol or 800 THB including free flow for 2 hours.

The first meeting of 2023 welcomes Cell Dilon and John Laroche who will talk about the new Junior Asian Golf Academy J.A.G.A that will start in September 2023 based at Black Mountain Golf Club.

Ths new exciting educational project will be a Tier 1 North American online High Scholl learning program including a full golf program with International coach.

J.A.G.A offers students the opportunity to live, train and study at Black Mountain Golf Club, giving them a unique experience of improving their golfing skills and furthering their academic prospects. The combined package allows students to persue their dream of becoming a professional golf player  and at the same time elevate their chances of being acceptedby the best universities around the world.

The Rotaract Club of Stamford International University are holding their fundraising event the International Charity Night at Market Village, Hua Hin.

The event will include music, dancing and an amazing colorful contest.

Tickets are 500 Thai Baht.

Rotary District 3330 will hold it's 3rd Intercity meeting on the 26th January at the "Resort Hotel" Photharam Ratchaburi.

The event will start with registration 08:00hrs and will finish at 17:30hrs

The cost is 700 Thai Baht per person and includes and evening party.

The event is open to club presidents and interested Rotarians.

The event will be held at the Hua Hin Marriott Resort & Spa. Dress code is smart/casual.

This weeks meeting we welcome back Dr Andrea Degan from Zurich in Switzerland.

Dr Degen who works in innovation management has been working on a project with the Bamboo School in Kanchanburi, which is a school primarily for children from the  Koren speaking communities, however they have now been accepting Thai Children from broken homes. Dr Mo from BeWell Clinic has previously spoke about this school where he spent much of his early education, during Covid-19 via a zoom meeting.

Dr Degen with our very own Patrick Meiers are visiting the school this weekend, and will update our club at this meeting.

There are a number of Rotary Clubs involved including the RC of Eastern Seabord in Pattaya.

Our next fellowship evening at Monsoon Valley Wine Bar on Tuesday 7th February Is now fully booked, please do not turn up on the night if you have not booked as there is no space avaiable.

This event costs 1,000 THB for an excellent buffet (see attachment) and free flow house wine and beer for 3 hours and 700THB for the buffet and soft drinks option for 3 hours.  if taking the 700 THB option plese try and have the exact money or there may be a delay in receiving your change.

Webmaster Peter Wydler and Pascal Zollinger will update members on how to use our Club Runner Website.

This will include using both the applicatio on computers and mobile phone apps.

This subject will be a must for both new and existing members.

During the Visit by the District Governor La-Or Chinda in November she requested that our club become a Sister Club with the Rotary Club of Ploi Ratchaburi.

On Wednesday 15th February we have been invited to attend a social evening to comemorate the signing of the agreement at the Navela Hotel in Ratchaburi 17:30hrs to 19:30hrs.

If we have sufficient numbers we can arrange transport for the evening.

Dress code club jackets and ties, or similar smart dress.
