We celebrated our club’s 14 years of community service on 2 April at Monsoon Valley Wine Bar. Over 60 guests joined us from both of our sponsor clubs, the Rotary Club of Hua Hin and the Rotary Club of Bangkok South, and also Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Bangkok and the Rotary Club of Prague International in Czechia.

Annual Charity Golf Tournament

Our 9 April club lunch meeting was extra special with a presentation of the inner workings of our Annual Charity Golf Tournament Organizing Committee and the world of major event planning and fundraising. President Brian opened the meeting with an overview of the Rotary Four-Way Test, the Rotarian Code of Conduct and recent and upcoming events. We also inducted our 66th member Paul, a lawyer by profession in England, who spoke about his past career experience and his life in Hua Hin.
The annual RI District 3330 Conference was again well-attended on 29-30 March in Surat Thani province. The two-day event was efficiently organized as usual and District Governor Dr. Chatchawal opened the Awards Ceremony in the afternoon followed by dinner and the first evening meeting of the conference.
We had another large group of attendees to welcome back the medical professionals of Bumrungrad International Hospital at our lunch meeting on 26 March. President Brian updated the group on our recent activities and upcoming events and presented club banners to three first-time visiting Rotarians, namely; Sheila the District 5110 Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) chair from RC Ashland in Oregon, USA, Dan from RC Charlottenlund in Denmark and Erik from RC Ekero in Sweden.
The Rotary Club of Royal Hua Hin completed another session of Water Safety & Drowning Prevention training for 61 students of the Hua Hin Demonstration School on 12-14 March. Conducted at the Greenway Hua Hin Resort, the children ages 12 and 13 years were trained over three days by 23 certified instructors from the Marine Police, Hua Hin Municipality and Bangkok Hospital Hua Hin. Our mayor of Hua Hin Mr. Nopporn opened the event on the first morning as usual along with Police Lt. Col. Tepparat, Dr. Pongsak and our club’s Water Safety & Drowning Prevention Committee.
