On January 30th, 2018 the RCRHH donated a sewing machine to Bea Baumann who represents Days for Girls organization in Thailand – see the story on an earlier Club Runner article.  On that day she expressed how difficult it was to get flannel required for making the sanitary pads in Thailand.

RTN Ingrid Ekert-Prinz has, for several months following the meeting, been looking for suppliers and found TTI, the largest fabric weaver in South Asia, who are the only company to supply flannel.

Following discussions, the owner KHUN Kumjorn agreed to donate 500 yards of flannel, with RCRHH supporting the project again and contributing a further B30,000 to buy a second 500 yards. This now totals 1000 yards which will allow Bea to produce 900 standard kits.
